K2 Athena™ has been providing Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust with an unparalleled level of service since June 2018. Following the successful implementation of the final antenatal component at the end of November last year, Athena has now seen thousands of mothers registered on the system and allowed comprehensive data capture of all patient notes effortlessly and efficiently throughout the whole pregnancy and birth pathway.
Providing a focus for patient care and clinical support at Leeds General Infirmary and St James’s University Hospital, Athena has merged effortlessly into the workflow and it is wonderful to hear that it is providing such valued benefits to the whole care team: improving communication, enhancing team working and delivering an unsurpassed breadth of service and integration. K2 have also been delighted to hear how Athena has been embraced by all staff and care professionals at Leeds, and that they chose to celebrate the benefits and advantages Athena now brings with a birthday party announcing the safe arrival of the first baby to have been registered on the full EHR system.
Staff were able to come together to enjoy some welcome downtime and refreshments with friends and colleagues and, with so many successes over the past 18 months, it was a chance for everyone involved to acknowledge all the hard work and the comprehensive benefits to staff and patients Athena has now brought.
K2 celebrate in their success and are delighted to know that Leeds will continue to benefit from Athena’s comprehensive functionality to enhance clinical process and drive improvement to ensure the safest possible maternity care. K2 wish all at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust very best wishes for a wonderful future as they continue to benefit from K2’s leading digital solutions.
