1: The K2MS Platform™
All hardware is packaged within the unit, there are no additional boxes and all electrical patient isolation is built-in. The K2MS Platform™ complies with the medical device standards and can be connected directly to the fetal monitor, in the delivery room. As well as meeting the medical device standards for patient isolation, it also meets the standard in terms of its resistance to the ingress of liquids, flammability rating and mechanical integrity. CONVENTIONAL PCs DO NOT. |
2: 15" LCD Touch Screen
The
K2MS Platform™ incorporates a 15” Zytouch™ touch screen. There is no need for a keyboard or a mouse, but these can be connected if required for other software applications. High brightness, contrast and viewing angles. It has a toughened glass front and the surface is impervious to chemicals and cleaning methods. |
3: Mounting the K2MS Platform™The K2MS Platform™ can be mounted on the wall beside the patient, on a trolley or can sit on a desk. It incorporates standard VESA mounting fixtures to facilitate these installations. We are also able to offer a wireless connection to the hospital network if required. The integral VESA mount provides a standard mechanical interface into a wide range of display arms and mounting options. Wall, ceiling, desk and trolley mounting can be accommodated. |
4: Bio-contamination
It is attractive, non-threatening and ergonomic in its presentation and sensitive to the clinical environment. It has been designed to reduce the risk of bio-contamination, with its easy clean, smooth surfaces, designed to minimise corners and crevices where grime or bacteria can accumulate. It has been designed to be used at the bedside to facilitate communication and interaction with the mother. |
5: Fingerprint ID
Optical fingerprint reader, ergonomically positioned, for thumb print use. 512 dpi resolution, 8 bit grey scale image capture. Works with dry, moist or rough prints. Fast, highly accurate capture and authentication. |
6: Rugged Enclosure
Rugged Enclosure made from self-extinguishing UL94-V0 material. IP32 rating exceeding liquid ingress requirements of IEC60601-1. |
7: High Quality Connectors
Use of high quality connectors for long term system reliability. Contrast to RJ45 and D-Type connector quality. Fully isolated I/O ethernet and RS232 serial ports. Allows direct connection to medical devices or IT networks without the need for any additional separation devices. |
8: USB
I/O 2x USB for general purpose use; connection to mouse, keyboard CDROM etc. This close up shot just shows the quality and final finish of the K2MS Platform™. |
9: Software Support
The K2MS Platform™ runs Windows operating system and third party applications can be installed, including Maternity Information System software, PAS software, and Microsoft Office® applications and email. |
