K2 have a CTG Duplication & Restoration Service which is quite a unique service. You may be aware that the CTG trace is often the only form of evidence of what happened during labour. These CTG traces are very precious and the paper that they are printed on fades in 5 years. K2 have developed software that reads the original CTG trace, records it and then we are able to print an exact replica or store it electronically. This ensures these valuable forms of information can be stored for a much longer period of time and can be replicated exactly.
Failure to produce the CTG in any subsequent litigation can seriously damage the chances of a successful defence, so as you can see CTG's are very valuable. Not only can K2 produce exact copies for cases but can also restore faded traces.
How does the service work?
You send us your paper CTG original by secure mail. We will return to you four things:

1. The original CTG.
2. A paper copy of the CTG on continuous z- fold paper, just like the original (not A4!).
3. A digital copy on CD for you to view in group presentations.
4. A certificate of equivalence and authenticity, confirming that the copied CTG is at least as good a quality as the original.
We will also send you a reference number against which you can order further paper or digital copies if you wish.
